offbeat dj collects no personal data of any kind. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking. Nothing leaves your device.
The app declares no INTERNET permission and never opens a network connection. Everything the app does happens on your phone.
Song tempo, key, and energy are computed on your phone and cached on-device only. Deleting the app removes the cache.
offbeat dj asks for the microphone permission only because Android requires it for the on-device audio visualizer. The Android Visualizer API captures the audio output being played — it is not the microphone. Nothing is recorded, stored, or transmitted. The permission is only requested when you open the visualizer; saying no simply leaves the visuals off.
If the app crashes, a stack trace is written to the app's external-files folder (crash.log) so it can be reported with a screenshot. It is never transmitted anywhere.
